12 New Pesticide Products, Including Pyraquinate, Registered in China

On September 17, 2024, 12 new pesticide products, including Pyraquinate, were registered in China. Notably, the newly approved active ingredients were included in the public notice issued by the ICAMA the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on May 10, 2024, as part of the fifth batch of proposed pesticide registrations.

Among the 12 new pesticide products, there are three new chemical active ingredients:

• Pyraquinate,
• Flusulfinam, and
• flufenoximacil.

Additionally, there is one microbial pesticide, Bacillus thuringiensis P1, and one biopesticide, a corn borer pheromone lure. Below is the list of the newly approved pesticide products.

So far this year, three new chemical active ingredients for pesticides have been approved, all of which are innovative active ingredients developed domestically.
