          Introduction

The Canadian Environmental Protection Act 1999 (CEPA 1999) is the most important chemical control law in Canada. It is a broad act covering the management of new chemical substances and existing chemicals in Canada. Under CEPA, new substances that not listed on Canada DSL need to be notified before manufacturing or importing while the risk of existing substances are controlled by series of regulatory lists. Besides CEPA, Canada's requirements for workplace chemicals will be updated as the GHS, incorporated into WHMIS which is regarded as the national hazard communication system.

This webinar will help enterprise to better understand the management of chemical substances based on these Regulations, and to get fully prepared before entering Canadian market.
