EU Notified WTO of its Amendments to the CLP Regulation

On 12 October 2017, the European Union notified the World Trade Organization’s Committee on Technical Barriers to Trade of its Amendments to CLP Regulation.

The amendments this time introduced new and revised entries for the harmonized classification and labeling of 34 substances and deleted 1 substance. It also amends Annex VI to the CLP Regulation by changing the title of one of its columns.

The proposed date of adoption is 1st quarter of 2018 and the proposed date of entry into force is 20 days from publication in the Official Journal of the EU (about a month after adoption).
