Quarterly Review | List of Approved Technical Grade Active Ingredient (TGAI) Products in China during Q1 2024

Following the implementation of China's new pesticide management regulations in 2017, a notable trend has been observed in the declining number of newly approved technical grade active ingredients (TGAIs) each year. To provide valuable insights for industry professionals and stakeholders, the agrochemicals team at CIRS has meticulously compiled a list of the newly registered TGAI products in China in the first quarter of 2024.

1. The Quantity of Newly Approved TGAIs

The table below presents a comprehensive breakdown of the types and number of newly approved TGAIs in China during the first quarter of 2024:

Based on the statistics of approved active ingredients, notable trends emerged during Q1 in terms of registrations. Prothioconazole, chlorantraniliprole, and Glufosinate-P-ammonium, secured the top three spots with seven, four, and three registrations respectively during this period.

2. Enterprises that have Obtained New Approvals for TGAIs

The top three Enterprises with the highest number of TGAIs in China in Q1 2024 are shown in the table below. According to the statistics by manufacturers, Jiangsu Zhongqi Technology Co., Ltd. and Shandong Jingbo Agrochemical Technology Co., Ltd. each had three TGAIs approved in the first quarter, making them joint first for the number of TGAIs approvals in Q1 of 2024.
