          CFSA Opened for Public Comments of Two New Food Contact Substances

          On February 8, 2022, China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) issued 2 new food contact additives and resins passing the technical review of the CFSA Expert Review Committee and now open for public comments, including 1 new food contact resin and 1 new food contact resin with expanded scope. The deadline for public comments is 27 February, 2022.

          (1) New food contact resin (1 type)

          The thickness of plastic films which are produced by this substance as raw materials shall not exceed 500 μm, and the use temperature shall not exceed 100℃.

          The above-mentioned restricted use requirements shall be marked in accordance with GB 4806.1.
