          China's CFSA Collecting Public Comments on Six New Food Additives

          The safety and technical significance of six new food additives – peroxidase, xylanase, 3’-Sialyllactose sodiumsalt, Lacto-N-neotetraose, Magnesium oxide, and Hydrogen peroxide – have been reviewed by an expert review committee, and public comments are welcomed.

          Please send your comments and suggestions by e-mail to zqyj@cfsa.net.cn before November 24, 2014.  This is based on the Measures for the Administration of New Food Additives and Provisions for the Declaration and Acceptance of New Food Additives.

          Specifications: This quality specification applies to the nutrition enhancer 3' Sialyllactose sodium salt produced by fermentation, purification, drying, and other processes using lactose and other raw materials.The production bacteria of 3'Sialyllactose sodium salt shall be evaluated for safety and meet the requirements of Appendix D.
